Taken from the USCCA Instagram page. We can’t stress enough how accurate this is. Being armed doesn’t mean you should take more risks. Train for the worst case scenario, but do everything within your power to have the best case scenario be your outcome.

Patrons, we at Gadsden Armory wanted to pass on this email our instructors receive from
The LSP CHP Office earlier today.

=========
Instructors,

To further combat the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana, Gov. Edwards issued a "Stay at Home Order" on March 22, directing all Louisiana residents to shelter at home and limit movements outside of their homes beyond essential needs. In compliance with the Governor’s order, Concealed Handgun Unit (CHP) personnel will not be in the office. Therefore, we will not be able to answer phone calls, accept or process applications, or mail permits until a later date. We will attempt to answer emails to the best of our ability during this downtime.

The CHP Unit will continue to monitor the situation and provide updated information as it becomes available. Thank you, and please stay safe.
=======

What this means for you is that your renewals or new applications will be delayed. That said,
Governor Edwards issued an Executive Order suspending the concealed handgun permit expirations until May 10, 2020. Please see Section 3:A.2. of the attached proclamation excerpt and full proclamation at:https://gov.louisiana.gov/assets/Proclamations/2020/27-JBE-2020-Public-Health-Emergency-COVID-19-Supplement.pdf
