ALUMNAE Student Spotlight: This Is Why We Do What We Do 💙

Y’all, I have to brag on one of our former AMIkids Caddo students for a minute.

She just checked in with me, and I’m over here smiling ear to ear. This young lady is out here making moves:
In a school program on scholarship
Earning her CPR certification + other certifications
Working two jobs this summer
Getting her car and driver’s license THIS month

In her words: “Y’all made me the person I am today and I’m like really thankful. So many doors be opening up for me!!”

Seeing her mature into such a responsible, driven young woman is everything. She told me our support and encouragement pushed her to do better and be better, and baby, she is doing exactly that.

This is the work. This is the impact. This is what happens when you pour into kids and refuse to give up on them.

We are SO proud of you, J! Keep walking through those open doors. You’ve got a whole village behind you. 🙌

FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS ☀️🍎🍴

The Caddo Parish School Board Summer Food Service Program is offering free breakfast and lunch for eligible children at locations across Caddo Parish this summer. Meals are available on select dates throughout June and July.
