ON THIS DAY IN 1998.... We became the greatest alumni of the BEST HIGH SCHOOL IN THE WORLD💜💛🐝 Happy 28 years to the Class of 98!!
*Doesn't seem that long ago ☺️

The 80s felt real because nobody was performing for an audience 24 hours a day.

Kids were outside until the streetlights came on.

Friendships happened face-to-face.

Embarrassing moments disappeared instead of living online forever.

And most memories existed only in your head… not on a server somewhere.

Life wasn’t perfect.

But it felt honest.

Our annual Give for Good campaign has been underway for just over a week, and we're grateful for everyone who has already made a difference for the Yellow Jackets and contributed over $4,000 in early giving to the Byrd Alumni Association. Show your support for Byrd High School and the generations of students who have walked its halls through May 5. Let's show the city how much support there is for Byrd during this Centennial year!

The Class of 1996 has proudly held the Give for Good Class Championship Belt for the past year... but can they defend their title? That’s up to YOU! Our last update has the Class of 2001 in the lead! Can you help your class climb the leaderboard?!

This friendly competition is based on the number of unique donations per class — not the dollar amount. That means whether you give $10 or $10,000, your donation counts just the same toward your class total!
