Governor John Bel Edwards

Though the Governor has canceled going to the physical school campus, ONLINE LEARNING still continues. If you are not on Google Classroom, come by the school and pick up your Instructional Packet. On Friday 4/17 from 9-11:30.

Today, I signed a proclamation closing K-12 public schools in Louisiana to students until the end of the current school year, with students getting their education via remote learning, as the state continues to fight the spread of COVID-19.

Closing public schools in Louisiana for the remainder of the year is not a choice I was excited to make, but it is one that is necessary to protect the safety of our children, our teachers and staff and the community at large.

But, I want to be clear about something: This isn’t the end of learning, it’s just the end of students physically going to school campuses for the remainder of the semester. Remote learning will continue and, we will all work together to make sure that our students do not fall behind academically. In addition, we expect that school systems will continue to provide nutrition and meals for students.

To our students, I want to thank you for learning in such trying times, and I want to thank our teachers for committing to remote learning and keeping a connection with you. It is not lost on me that our parents are being asked to manage so much more than they ever expected they would have to, and I thank them for taking an even more active role in their children’s education than normal.

And to our soon-to-be graduates: I do not have the words to tell you how proud I am of you for your accomplishments, especially under such hard and unconventional circumstances. We will properly celebrate you in time, when it is safe. We will all get through this together and we will come back stronger than we were before. #lagov #COVID19

Please share.

When this pandemic really hits home 😢... We miss our scholars, BUT guess what? THEY MISS US TOO !!!! 🥰🥰🖤💛🖤💛

Fair Park will not have breakfast/lunch until
Further notice from the district.

In response to Gov. Edwards’ stay-at-home order,
Caddo Schools will not be offering grab-and-go meals this week.

Our district takes the safety of our students and staff seriously and has agreed to only provide food services as long as the safety of participants could be guaranteed. With the growing rate of spread of COVID-19, we must take every precaution to protect our students and staff. Caddo urges all stakeholders to limit outside interactions and to heed the governor’s advisements.

The district will continue to assess conditions to determine the earliest possible time at which we can resume food service.

In addition, all Central Office sites will now be closed in addition to our school sites.

It is imperative for every entity to do its part to flatten the curve for the sake of our community.

Reminders:

Caddo Parish Public Schools

We're all experiencing drastic changes to our professional and/or personal lives and Caddo Schools wants to assure you that we are implementing a plan with all students and families in mind no matter your circumstances. Please listen to these encouraging words from our Superintendent, Dr. Goree. We are all in this together, #WeAreCaddo
