Mrs. Petree's 2nd grade class has been working hard to learn how to write a delicious informative paragraph, hamburger style. They learned to use their Zoom Zone glasses to zoom in on the topic of a paragraph. Then they studied the order of sentences in an informative paragraph and got to have tasty French Fr"ideas" as they learned about details. This tasty unit ended with building their very own hamburger to illustrate the parts of their paragraph.

The Shreveport Opera Express came to FBCS today. The preschool enjoyed an outdoor performance of Ralph the Rat. Ralph learned that it can be fun to try new things - like the opera! (More pics in comments)

Our preschool has been reading "Jack & the Bean Stalk". They are using beans to measure all the characters and are also building very tall beanstalks! STREAM IS FUN!!

Our Patriot Fund Run campaign is LIVE and runs through Thursday, October 8th. An email was sent to parents with the link on how to donate.
All money collected will go back into our classrooms. Thanks for helping us celebrate FBCS’s 50th anniversary!

Today we celebrated See You at the Pole. Due to the weather, the program was held inside and viewed on Patriot TV. The student led program included scripture readings and prayers for the school, the community, and the nation.

The Young 3's are having fun learning. They have been building Chicka, Chicka number trees in STREAM!

FBCS is celebrating our 50th anniversary with a Patriot Fund Run! The run will take place Thursday, October 8 during the school day for all students. As of now, the Fall Carnival planned on this date has been postponed. There will be a run/walk course to complete around our campus, a birthday party for our school, a picnic, prizes, and even Dr. G in a dunking booth!

If you or your business would like to sponsor the event, please email Jessica Burford at [email protected] for details.

[06/04/20]   FBCS Parents -

Thank you for your help and support in returning books, materials, and other supplies. If you have not done so we are open Tuesday - Thursday from 9 - 12.

We have been following and staying abreast of school opening procedures from the CDC and other health professionals who are parents in our school. Our plans are to begin school on our campus August 10th. Please know that we have a committee of school parents, teachers, and pediatricians advising us regarding health and sanitary standards to implement.

As you know, this is a fluid situation and we will keep you informed this summer as events unfold.

FBCS Alumni - graduating class of 2020 - participated in a car parade today! Since we couldn't hold our traditional "Senior Reception" for them this year, we invited our former students to drive through our campus, receive a yard sign, and enjoy congratulatory waves from all their former FBCS teachers. Best wishes to the class of 2020!

FBCS would like to honor our five 8th grade class of 2020 Valedictorians. Congratulations! #welovefbcs

Troops 2020 End of the Year Video

5th Grade Troops were a fun part of the school year! We had so many engaging and exciting activities like the D1 Kickoff, Picnics with Mrs. Harner, the Thanksgiving Feast, and the Gingerbread House Decorating Party. It was so fun to watch our 5th graders blossom into confident students ready to rock middle school! In addition, they developed many new friendships throughout the year. Enjoy this video dedicated to our first crew of FBCS 5th Grade Troops! (We do not own the rights to the music used in this video.)

What a wonderful evening we had celebrating our 8th graders with a drive-in movie on campus! The movie was a tribute to the 8th graders and was filled with memorable pictures and videos from all their years at FBCS. The video ended by revealing where each student will go to high school. We are so proud of these outstanding students! #welovefbcs
