Congratulations to Dr. Cory Coehoorn, Chair of Rehabilitation Science, and our partners in Family Medicine, Dr. Peter Seidenberg and Dr. Miguel Lopez, on receiving a $210,022 Collaboration in Action (CAB) grant sponsored by Our Lady of the Lake and the LSU System!

Their project will focus on validating machine learning models to predict core temperature and the risk of heat illness among Louisiana high school football athletes.

What an amazing June session! Over five days, Louisiana high school students explored healthcare careers through hands-on activities, interactive experiences, and field trips.

From physical therapy and physician assistant studies to respiratory therapy, speech-language pathology, medical laboratory science, and more, students gained valuable insights into healthcare careers while learning tips for success in college and professional programs.
