What began as a public health emergency is turning into a mental health crisis for our kids. The good news is that there’s a lot we can do to counteract this crisis, and and now’s the time to act.

Dr. Tyrone D. Burton's new book, "More Than A Notion" addresses issues relevant to educational leaders in the age of accountability. His years of experience serving on the superintendent's advisory committee, developing twenty-four educators that advanced to various positions within the local school board and the State Department of Education, and his time as a distinguished Principal fueled his desire to bring his concerns to the forefront.

He esteems Principalship as one of the most rewarding and challenging positions in the vast field of education. It is where the academic rubber meets the educational road of accountability. It is not for the faint of heart or those that lack the passion or desire to serve others through leading. However, in the context of other professions, it is one of the most difficult.

"More Than a Notion" provides the blueprint for school leaders to develop schools where students can overcome the odds and succeed.
