LSU Health Shreveport Department of Cellular Biology and Anatomy

Our new Virtual/Augmented Reality(VR/AR) lab in Anatomy is now up and running!! 25 workstation running the Toltech Software VH DISSECTOR XR. This is an amazing tool to help our students reinforce their understanding human anatomy. TheVR/AR lab is located directly adjacent to our newly remodeled Gross Anatomy Lab. The VR/AR lab build was a team effort, involving our Physical Plant and Information Technology Departments. None of this would have been possible without the support of our Interim Chancellor, Dr Lester Johnson MD.

The construction team is putting the finishing touches on the space that will become the LSUHS-Shreveport Department of Cellular Biology and Anatomy Virtual Reality Workspace. When it is completed in early January, the facility will house 25 VR workstations that will be used as a supplemental approach to teach Human Anatomy to students from all three schools at our Health Sciences Center.
