As the sole independent provider of sailing lessons and excursions within the Shreveport/Bossier area, SailScapes, LLC, is committed to ensuring the availability of the sailing experience to all. I launched the company in the summer of 2019 with a mission to share my love and knowledge of sailing with anyone seeking to learn. I gained my lifelong affinity for the sport at age 4, when I began sailing with my father out of the Shreveport Yacht Club. As I grew, I discovered that my passion for sailing grew even stronger as the years went on. Having been a sailing camp trainer since age 11, I obtained an instructor’s license in early 2018. I purchased my Catalina 22 sailboat shortly thereafter, which I have provided lessons on ever since SailScapes was founded. I look forward to sharing the freedom and joy of sailing with my community and I hope to see you on the water soon!
Hello Junior Sailors and parents! Hope this post finds everyone doing well. After hearing that sailing camp would be cancelled this year we have decided to do our absolute best to get kids out of the house and out on the water. In order to facilitate this we will be offering both small group and private lessons this Summer! The Small Group lessons will provide 12 hours of action-packed sailing instruction spread over a 3 day time frame. This will allow everyone to still have the chance to get out on the water. We will be using a variety of boats both big and small to accomplish this including the club boats from sailing camp and my personal Catalina 22. If you are brand new to sailing and have never set foot on a sailboat we are here to share our knowledge with you.
