Oct. 20 - Dr. Ignacio Carvajal Regidor from The University of Kansas will give two presentations:
ACADEMIC: 11:00am in the UC Caddo-Bossier Room: "From Ajawarem to Jurisdicción: Establishing Authority over People and Territory in the Highlands of Guatemala During the Sixteenth Century" - this talk may particularly be interesting to History students as well as those interested in Indigenous languages and cultures.
POETIC: 5:30pm in the UC Caddo-Bossier Room: A poetry reading from his new book "Allow" accompanied by poets from our campus and community.

The LSUS Institute for Nonprofit Administration & Research is pleased to announce Dr. Heather Carpenter as the new Director for the Master of Science in Nonprofit Administration (MSPNA) program!
Dr. Carpenter embraces building and managing nonprofit academic programs, hiring and managing an equitable talent pool of professors, and establishing high-impact learning experiences for students. Her expertise is creating community-centered programs, which includes developing course learning outcomes and assessments that meet credit-hour and accreditation requirements.

The fifth townhall event in the From Horror to Heroism Spring Lecture Series will take place tonight, May 11, from 6-7:30pm, at ARTSTATION in downtown Shreveport. At the event, audience members will discuss the causes of, and possible solutions for, the military’s current su***de epidemic.
