Our Pre-K students are starting the school year with some learning and a LOT of fun! 🧸✏️💛

During station time, our little learners are practicing how to share, take turns, communicate, and interact with their classmates while exploring and playing together. 🌟

We’re building friendships, learning routines, and making sweet memories along the way! 🍎📚✨

Our 2nd graders had an AMAZING first week of learning! 🧪🔎💙

We kicked things off with a fun team-building challenge, “Saving Sam!” 🐛 Students worked together, communicated, problem-solved, and showed some serious teamwork!

Then, our young scientists began exploring the properties of materials by investigating the different materials birds use to build their nests. 🪺🐦 They observed, compared, and started thinking like real scientists!

We’re already learning, exploring, and working together—and it’s only Week 1! 🌟 Here’s to a great year in 2nd grade! 📚✨

Our Voyage to Excellence Starts Tomorrow ⚓️

Traffic Flow Guidelines:
Per the SPD Traffic Division, all carpool traffic must flow southbound on Kingston Road. Northbound traffic coming from Bert Kouns must continue to flow. Therefore, carpool vehicles are prohibited from entering Southern Hill campus from the right hand side. Right turns are strictly reserved for CPSB buses only. When exiting the campus, all cars MUST turn right.

Student Drop-off:
Car-riders are dropped off in the faculty parking lot.
Students with physical disabilities are dropped off in front of the cafeteria to be picked up by their teacher or paraprofessional.
Bus Riders will be dropped off in the bus circle.
Daycare Riders will be dropped off in front of the office.
All car rider lines will close at 7:25 a.m.
After 7:25 all traffic will go through the bus circle to come sign students in.
Vehicles must pull around the bus circle,
Park to the right to bring students and sign them in.
Blocking any parts of the drive may result in towing or parking citations.

Student Pick-up: (Dismissal Starts 2:50)
Have the carpool tag with the student's name clearly written and visible hanging in the rearview mirror.
All students must be picked up no later than 3:15PM. Late pick-ups must sign students out in the office.

Car riders are students who are being dropped off and picked up in the carpool line. All other students are considered walkers.
All car riders must be picked up in a car through the carline located in the faculty parking lot.
Students that live in the apartments are the only students allowed to be picked up or dropped off in the apartment parking lot.

Walkers in Pre-K through 2nd grade are not allowed to walk home alone and will be in the library waiting for their adult. (We will send them out of the gate when you come ask for them.) If you have an older sibling in 3rd-5th that will be escorting your little, please let the teacher know.

Bus riders will be dismissed through the bus circle.
