5th grade trip… The Lorraine Motel in Memphis, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968, was transformed into the National Civil Rights Museum in 1991. The site preserves the motel's exterior, including Room 306 and the balcony where King was shot, as a memorial and interactive museum detailing the Civil Rights Movement.

📕 Battle of the Books. Each team had to draw the cover or a scene from a book of their choice. Team Mustangs drew the cover of Balto and Togo. Awesome illustration 📖

ATTENTION: 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students are to leave their backpacks at home Monday April 27-Friday May 1. We are leap testing and students do not need to bring any backpacks to school.

Today, our hearts are heavy as we honor the lives of eight young children who were taken far too soon. In their memory, our school has placed eight pinwheels at the front of our campus, each one representing a precious life that will never be forgotten.
We stand with their families, classmates, and loved ones during this time of mourning. We the principal and staff offer our love, support, and prayers.
