This Memorial Day our students talked about flag etiquette. When the flag is lowered, no part should touch the ground or any other object. The flag should be received by waiting hands and arms. The flag should also never be used for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything. The flag flown at half-staff is a sign of mourning, respect, or distress.

Remember to take time to reflect on the sacrifices made and what Memorial Day means to you.
