Did you hear about the rose that grew from concrete? 🌹

This past week my students & I dove into the world of poetry analysis & figurative language through this awesome resource found on TPT 🤩

The students really enjoyed learning about Tupac & his views through poetry. They were tasked with finding the message in the poem & realized that we are the roses that can grow from concrete—no matter our environment or circumstance.

Christmas in 5th Grade! 🤩🎄

My students requested steak, yes steak 😭🤦🏾‍♀️, for their Christmas party & we made it happen! Huge thank you to Mr. Ryan Williams for sponsoring & allowing Applebee’s to cater their sirloins 😋 my students’ parents for showing out with their cooking of the sides & desserts, my mama for making sure everything flowed right, & my brother for coming to help serve! 💪🏾🤗 Our Christmas party was a success & the students had a blast! My heart is overjoyed 🧡🧡🧡
