MCA is honored to announce that from now until April 29th, Millburn Free Public Library (located at 200 Glen Ave, Millburn, NJ 07041) is hosting a display of Montessori materials and various projects created by students from our Short Hills Campus. The display is located in the sitting room to the right of the entrance and we encourage our families and friends of MCA to stop in to view the display.

All of our MCA students have been busy enjoying the holiday season! Some of our Short Hills students recently dried orange slices, and then used a needle and twine to string them together, adding star anise and pine leaves for a delicious smelling decoration. They also decorated gingerbread houses, providing a wonderful opportunity to discuss the different ways people celebrate the holidays and a chance to practice Practical Life skills such as the pincer grip. Finally, hot chocolate with fresh whipped cream was enjoyed and students were thrilled to see how cream and confectioners’ sugar transformed into a thick, sweet topping – creating a Science lesson on how ingredients can change through simple chemistry. MCA wishes all of our families a safe and happy holiday season!
