"Helping children embrace learning with curiosity, enthusiasm and confidence!" Christ Church Nursery School was established in 1962.

Since then we have played an active role in the education of young children. The school is sponsored by Christ Church in Short Hills and welcomes children of parishioners as well as children of Short Hills and neighboring communities. We believe that children learn through appropriate play experiences. We offer a wide variety of activities that contribute to the physical, social, emotional, cognit

ive and communicative development of the child. Our days are busy as we learn about ourselves and the world around us. State licensed, the school serves over 200 children offering spacious classrooms and four fenced in outdoor play areas. Our challenging curriculum follows the Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards set by the New Jersey State Department of Educationhttp://www.nj.gov/education/ece/guide/standards.pdf our goal is to meet, and when possible exceed those standards.

As we get ready for a new school year, we're smiling as we look back on all the wonderful memories made at camp! From creative crafts and exciting adventures to laughter, friendships, and endless fun, this summer was one to remember.

🥁🎶 Music was in the air all week long! Our campers had an amazing time exploring Music & Movement through singing, dancing, learning about musical notes, and creating their own instruments.

With the help of our incredible music teacher, Mrs. D, every camper had the opportunity to express themselves, build confidence, and experience the joy that music brings. It was a week filled with laughter, learning, and lots of rhythm! 🎼🎤🥁

A day at the zoo with Mrs. Grossman and Mrs. Ovul was a success! 🦁☀️ Filled with joyful laughter, silly giggles, hands-on animal encounters, and plenty of smiles—even in the hot, humid sun! Thank you to PACCNS for providing experiences like these that bring so much joy, inspiration, and connection to our CCNS community. 💙🐾

🚗✈️ Things were on the move this week at camp! Our campers explored the exciting world of Cars, Trucks, and Things That Go by designing their own roads, building ramps and obstacle courses for toy cars, and creating imaginative skies filled with fluffy clouds for airplanes to soar through. Every creation was powered by teamwork, creativity, and lots of fun! We loved watching our little engineers bring their ideas to life. ☁️🛻💙

One of the sweetest moments from this year’s Cocktail Party was our pasta-making experience with Mrs. Walsh! 🍝❤️ It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, share laughs, learn something new, and create lasting memories.

🎨 Paint, create, imagine! Art Mania week gave our campers the chance to express themselves, try new artistic techniques, and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces with the help of our special guest artist, Ms. Anabel. Their creativity knew no limits, and the joy on their faces said it all! 🌈🖌️

This week, our little beach lovers brought the shore to school! 🌴 From building amazing sand sculptures 🏰 and digging in the sand 🪣 to tossing beach balls 🏐 and exploring creative beach-themed activities, every day was filled with sunshine, imagination, and smiles. 😎💙

There's nothing better than learning through play—especially when it feels like a day at the beach! 🌊🐚☀️

This week, our campers dug into the amazing world of nature during Nature Explorer Week with the help of our resident Gardener, Mrs. Fang!🌿🌎 They became little gardeners 🌱, explored different plant life 🌻, searched for insects 🐜🐞, and learned how animals and plants thrive in many different environments. Every day was filled with curiosity, discovery, and plenty of outdoor fun! ☀️💚
