Join us for our Rotary Club Meeting this Wednesday, April 1st at 7:30 am at Shoreline Community College, Quiet Dining Room in the HUB.

Our Speaker, Photographer Lara Grauer will discusses her Cornered Portrait Series. In this series Lara explores what it means for participants to put themselves in a literal tight corner and have camera and lights aimed at them. Lara will share how coming out from behind out screens helps to build stronger communities.

This promises to be an inspiring talk as Lara shares with the Club her “life’s work” of helping to “lift people up” by creating “intentional memories” that establish identity and strengthen connections.

Shoreline Rotary participated in a Food Drive for Food Lifeline sponsored by Edward Jones. Micah Blair, Past President of Shoreline Rotary and an Edward Jones Financial Advisor based in Edmonds, encouraged the Club to participate in the Food Drive.

Through donations at a Club meeting and a generous contribution from one of our long term members, Shoreline Rotary was able to raise $555 for the Food Drive. In addition, Carol Salter, our Club’s President Elect, led her company, Banchero Disability Partners, in collecting additional stable food items which filled two large boxes and grocery bags.

All of the cash donations were used to purchase stable food items from local stores and along with the donations from Banchero, were delivered to the pickup site in Edmonds on February 25th, where they contributed to filling a trailer which was staffed by employees from Edward Jones.

Our thanks to all the Rotarians and Banchero staff who contributed to this Food Drive for Food Lifeline.
