We’re not at camp, but we had great field trip today to brightwater. We learned about engineering and designing solutions to problems like flooding and storm water runoff.

Three-day annual 5th grade environmental education camp experience for Ridgecrest Elementary
Camp Caber is named for the Scottish caber, often tossed in Highland Games. The mascot of the high school our students will attend is the Shorecrest Highlanders. Caber also stands for what we hope to experience and learn while at camp:
C = Courage
A = Adventure
B = Bonding
E = Empathy
R = Respect

Kids were happy to see we brought our classroom mascots along. We are having so much fun at camp! Just had dinner and off to do a scavenger hunt and campfire before bed. Kids are buzzing and happy!
