Anyone look familiar? 😊 While this year's 8th graders enjoy their last few days at school, our alumni who were in 8th grade four years ago returned to Evergreen this week for a reunion!
Now seniors about to graduate from high school, these students and many of their parents enjoyed a beautiful evening re-connecting with classmates and teachers. We wish them the very best as they go on to college and beyond!

Check out today’s 2nd grade "Bugs and Blossoms" exhibition of learning!
Bugs and Blossoms is a multidisciplinary deep dive into learning about pollinators -- plants, blossoms, insects, and so much more! Students researched a chosen pollinator, focused on their writing skills as they wrote up results, incorporated art inspired by cherry blossoms, built elaborate dioramas, and much more. They even wrote poetry about pollinators! They were so excited today to share their learning with many parents, grandparents, and friends. 🌸🌱🌺

Rain didn't stop our kindergarten activists from marching around the neighborhood on Friday and sharing their messages of positive change!
This march kicked off Social Justice Day in our Primary Division (preschool to 3rd grade), an inspiring morning of community and action! Our younger students engaged in discussions and workshops from chalk art to gardening to poster-making and more. Special shout-out to our 3rd graders for stepping up as leaders in capacities as speakers, ushers, and all sorts of helpers!

Our PK students recently combined their exploration of strength with contemporary art in a very hands-on way!
PK Teacher Mary Claire explained: Our inquiry into strength came alive in the most vibrant and joyful way! Drawing inspiration from Japanese artist Ushio Shinohara, who is known for his dynamic technique of applying paint with boxing gloves, our children had the opportunity to explore what strength means to them through their own bodies and mark-making. Slipping on boxing gloves and stepping up to the canvas, each child brought their full energy and intention to the process. The result? Two stunning, large-scale collaborative paintings that pulse with color and movement.
