Rocketship going up! Linear design makes a big visual impact with a small footprint and fewer blooms.

I love that color palettes based on the primaries are back! Red, yellow, and blue work together beautifully when you play with value and shade.

Happy (and hopefully sunny) Monday!

Designing in winter means soft textures, local peony tulips, maidenhair fern, and early budding branches. So much elegance and moodiness in January!

One of my favorite things from the Christmas season is decorating the historic grand bannister at the Adams Pragge House!

The bannister is original to the 1889 house and is one of the glories of this Victorian mansion.

This year, we decided to go for a celestial theme with stars, shining spheres, and the sunburst shapes of dried palm.

As always, I source the garland from Lynch Creek Farm in Shelton, WA, the Christmas tree capital of the world.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This is my fave design yet for the glorious mantel at Port Townsend's Adams Pragge House!

Bleached preserved amaranth for icicles, along with mini mouse ear poinsettias, roses, and amaryllis.

You can see this install this weekend during the Adams Pragge House's Silent Nights events! Follow for info!

Thank you to Joseph, Zhenya, and Catherine for having me in to decorate for the holidays!

Got to meet Miranda yesterday at and I'm just in love with these late-season chrysanthemums. They're just so sophisticated and vibrant!

Just a few of my favorite details from Mia & Caleb's wedding this month at Chateau Lill in Woodinville! Cheers to a couple who couldn't be sweeter!

And cheers to Landis and Bre, wedding planners extraodinaires!

Adding the flowers to this cake with Alia of was so much fun! When both your florist and your baker are working together, how can it not be stunning?

Thanks also to Nicole of

The bride chose 'quicksand' standard roses for their gorgeous soft sandy pink color. These were grown by in Oregon.

Happy wedding day, Melissa and Mark!

Another summer bridal bouquet! This bride wanted the color palette to reflect an August sunset on Elliott Bay. Wonderful bronze, blush, lavender colors!

Nothing like summer in the northwest!

We love special requests for bridal bouquets! This elegant bride asked if we could use lace from her mother's wedding dress to wrap the bouquet, and if we could also incorporate a custom charm made from her grandmother's silver. The charm even has her "something blue!"

The result is sooooo romantic!
