Break-In/Robbery Updates:

1. We recovered many of our laptops and stolen materials! The perpetrator tossed many of the items onto a neighbor’s yard and abandoned them. Monday afternoon, the neighbor recognized our name and brought the items to our Senior Meals program.

2. Our stolen van, “Lil,” has been returned to us! One of our summer AmeriCorps members recognized it on her bike to work and called the appropriate authorities. Lil is in good condition with all of her plates and is still drivable!

Some items are still missing: van keys, some laptops, and our kitchen speaker. We are in the process of replacing locks and keys, repairing broken windows, and working with our insurance to determine what the true cost of all of the damage will be.

Don't forget to register to vote! The deadline to register online or by mail in Washington is MONDAY (7/27).
