West Shore Christian Academy West Shore Christian Academy is a K–12 private Christian school serving grades K–8 in Shiremanstown, PA and 9–12 in Mechanicsburg, PA.

WSCA partners with families to provide Christ-centered education that sharpens minds, deepens faith, and develops gifts. West Shore Christian Academy and Harrisburg Christian School are united under the leadership of the Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg (CSAGH). This week is Spiritual Emphasis week at WSCA!

Every year, WSCA students have the opportunity to participate in grade-specific Spiritual Emphasis Retreats. These retreats utilize experiential learning to encourage and challenge students in their faith while building community and life skills.

Last school year, students explored:

🌊 Whitewater rafting in Ohiopyle (how to conquer the rapids of life)

⛵ Sailing in Annapolis (how to 'set a course' for life)

🧗‍♂️ Rock climbing at White Rock Acres (trusting God as our Rock)

🛶 Canoeing at the Yellow Breeches (learning to extend grace)

👏 Team building and group activities (focused on CSAGH's Profile of a Graduate)

Join us in welcoming Lily Cook to WSCA!

Mrs. Cook will be joining the Middle School team as a 6th grade teacher. She graduated from Messiah in May and got married this summer! Mrs. Cook says,

"I chose WSCA because I love teaching students about God and what He has done for them, and I love the freedom that teaching at a Christian school can do for the students' spiritual lives!"

Fun fact: In her free time, Mrs. Cook works at a Pilates studio and loves running and weightlifting.

Join us in welcoming Jaden Demerly to WSCA!

Mr. Demerly will be joining the Middle School team as a math teacher. He graduated from Lancaster Bible College and has experience serving in youth ministry.

He says, "I am so grateful for this opportunity at WSCA to disciple and equip young men and women for what God has in store for them right now and in the future. I am excited to teach students to solve math problems with confidence, pursue truth with integrity, and recognize how great of a God we have".

Fun fact: In his free time, Mr. Demerly loves playing disc golf and studying/enjoying film!

Last night, we had the opportunity to celebrate one of the many ways God has provided for WSCA.

Students, teachers, families, alumni, and others from the WSCA community gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at our new High School campus. We are incredibly grateful for the families, supporters, faculty, and staff who have helped make this milestone possible.

Ultimately, we know that every good and perfect gift is from the Lord, and we are so thankful for His abundant provision.

What a blessing to celebrate together and kick off a new school year! We can’t wait to see all that God has in store for the year ahead.
