Women in Need in Chambersburg will be conducting a training class for domestic violence/sexual assault volunteers this summer. The training will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings along with two Saturday sessions from June 14 to July 14. Senior history major Brandon Moist will be talking about his summer 2015 spent abroad in Jordan for the last Diggin' History! Series lecture. He will be discussing traveling throughout the country and his experiences as an American in the Middle East abroad. He will also talk about the culture and religion in Jordan while reflecting on his experiences in country. Further, Brandon will discuss his research on Palestinian Christians in the Israel-Palestine conflict and talk about his travels to Jerusalem. It is his goal that students will have a better understanding of a region that is important to U.S. international relations, and that they will better understand the culture and history of Jordan and the Middle East. Come join Brandon on Thursday April 21 in DHC 151!

Next Monday at 7:30 in DHC 205, high school teacher and Shippensburg alumni Chris Pavone will be discussing his career as a history educator at Waynesboro Area Senior High School and how his education at Shippensburg prepared him for his career. Graduate Students Lydia Deneez Middaugh and Kira Piper will be creating an exhibit in the library for the month of March, Women's History Month. Check out Ship photos that demonstrate dress codes until it was abolished alongside handbook regulatory codes!

Another exhibit in the library during Women History Month "Dressing Appropriately: The History of the Shippensburg University Women's Dress Code" An exhibit featuring photographs and ephemera from the Archive. Visit the lower level lobby of Lehman Library to explore the evolution of the campus dress code.

Award winning Cold War historian Dr. Kate Brown, author of Plutopia, is coming to Shippensburg as this year's World History Speaker on Thursday, February 25, at 7:30 pm in Old Main Chapel. Very exciting! Please join us in welcoming her this Thursday!
