We are a dynamic community of historians and philosophers dedicated to exploring the world’s historical and philosophical traditions through research, experiential learning, engaged scholarship, and innovative teaching. Our department offers BA and BSED degrees in History (incluidng a BA with a Public History concentration), a History minor, a Philosophy minor, and a Masters of Arts degree in Applied History (inlcluding a dual MA/MSLS Degree in Library Science offered with Clarion University). We have approximately 300 undergraduate history majors, sixty graduate students, a score of philosophy minors,two philosophy professors, and seventeen history professors in our department.
