As part of the campaign, we're proud to spotlight alumnus Martin Babinec '77, an entrepreneur, startup investor, and venture catalyst.

After earning his degree in Business, Martin founded in 1988 and spent 20 years as CEO of the company, later continuing as chairman. Under his leadership, TriNet grew into a publicly traded organization supporting thousands of businesses nationwide.

While Martin remains active with TriNet, he also founded the non-profit UpMobility Foundation, where he leads philanthropic efforts focused on promoting self-reliance, education, family values, and transparent governance. Through his work in philanthropy and venture-building, he continues to connect entrepreneurs with the resources they need to grow and succeed.

Martin remains closely connected to Shippensburg University, supporting the next generation of students and entrepreneurs. He credits his time at Ship with helping shape his career path, and even as the place he met his wife.

As part of the campaign, we're proud to spotlight alumnus Steve Horning '91, owner of an independent State Farm insurance agency in York, PA.

While earning his BSBA in Industrial Labor Relations and Human Resources Management, Steve was inspired by Dr. Stephen Holoviak, who demonstrated that a career in business can be successful, enjoyable, and support the community.

Steve's Raider network has been a cornerstone of his entrepreneurial success, from a fraternity connection that led to an interview with State Farm over 30 years ago, to the hundreds of client and business relationships he has built through his agency.

Steve embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and stays engaged with Shippensburg University by utilizing the SBDC and actively participating in class projects, providing real-world insight to current students.
