The SU Office of Workforce Development announces The Leadership Pathway Series is ready to launch the 2026-27 season.

Both the Frontline Leadership Program and the Mid-Level Leadership Series are open for registration.

As our nation celebrates its America250 Shippensburg University is proud to recognize the entrepreneurial spirit of our alumni through the America the Entrepreneurial campaign.

This week, we're excited to spotlight Lindsay Loney, co-owner of Greencastle Coffee Roasters in downtown Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Shippensburg University, where she developed the business and financial skills that helped prepare her for entrepreneurship.

In 2023, Lindsay and her husband, Michael, achieved their dream of business ownership when they purchased Greencastle Coffee Roasters. Throughout the acquisition process, they partnered with the Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), receiving guidance and support as they successfully transitioned into ownership.

Today, Greencastle Coffee Roasters has become a destination for coffee lovers, offering more than 220 varieties of freshly roasted coffees, premium teas, specialty candies, roasted peanuts, and unique gifts. Lindsay and Michael are committed to providing exceptional customer service while continuing the tradition of quality that customers have come to know and love.

Their partnership with Shippensburg University didn't end after purchasing the business. Lindsay and Michael continue to support experiential learning by participating in SBDC-facilitated student class projects, including the Mystery Shopper Program. By opening their business to students, they help provide real-world learning experiences while receiving valuable feedback to strengthen their customer experience.

Lindsay's story is a great example of how Ship alumni continue to make a difference by investing in their communities, supporting future entrepreneurs, and helping local businesses thrive. We are proud to celebrate Lindsay and Greencastle Coffee Roasters as part of the America250 and America250PA initiatives.

As the United States celebrates America250, Shippensburg University is proud to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of our alumni through the America the Entrepreneurial campaign.

This week, we're excited to spotlight Chelsea L. Scomak, CFP, BFA, founder of Via Brio Advising and a proud Shippensburg University graduate. Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2015 and has built a business focused on helping entrepreneurial women achieve financial confidence and build lives they love.

Via Brio Advising was created after Chelsea recognized a need for a different kind of financial planning experience. Too many people felt overwhelmed by money, misunderstood by the financial services industry, or believed quality financial advice was only available to the ultra-wealthy. Chelsea set out to change that.
