💚 Meet the team behind Cameron Park Montessori!

Choosing a preschool means placing your trust in the people who will care for, guide, and encourage your child each day. We are honored to be entrusted with that responsibility.

Our team brings together years of experience in early childhood education, Montessori training, CPR and First Aid certification, and ongoing professional development. But beyond our qualifications, we share a genuine passion for creating a classroom where every child feels safe, respected, and inspired to learn.

We believe the best learning happens when children feel known, valued, and loved. Every member of our team is committed to fostering independence, building meaningful relationships, and helping each child grow with confidence.

We asked Miss Kim about her favorite classroom material and here’s what she said: “The snake game is my favorite math material! I love seeing the child’s amazement when we change the rainbow snake to a golden snake by exchanging for tens. It becomes second nature for them to do quick math to find pairs that make 10!”

We are wrapping up our summer session, and with that, our tour openings! Tuesday 7/28 and Wednesday 7/29 are open for preschool classroom tours.

This week we lost an amazing community member and part of the Cameron Park Montessori family. It has been an incredible honor to know and love Cameron Caldwell of Liberty Roofing Contractors. Cameron graciously donated his time and expertise in maintaining our play structure and building our mud kitchens, during the time of his daughter’s attendance and beyond. You will be truly missed 💙

We asked our staff to share their favorite Montessori material with us. Miss Marlen’s is the trinomial cube. She said, “The trinomial cube is like a puzzle to me! 🧩 This material really intimidated me when I first started teaching and now I LOVE IT!” ❤️ 💙 💛 🖤

Our toddlers learn grace and courtesy by taking turns and building patience and self-control!

Did I get your attention?!

Sharing is not developmentally appropriate for toddlers.
Toddlers are egocentric, and they need to be. They’re focused on building themselves, their independence, and their understanding of the world.

Can we model waiting? Absolutely.
“When they’re finished, it will be your turn.”
But expecting toddlers to share a material at the same time is an expectation for an older child.

When a toddler is using a material, they need to know it is theirs to explore, repeat, practice, and master. And when someone else is using a material, we give that child the same respect. It’s theirs until they’re finished.

That’s how toddlers learn respect for themselves, for others, and for the work they’re doing.
