12. $23,000-$31,500 a year based on experience and qualifications
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working in a childcare center. (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)
2. Previous Knowledge of the Pennsylvania childcare regulations. (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)
3. Previous Knowledge of the Keystone STARS Performance Standards. (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)
4. Proof of at least 2 years or 2,500 hours working with children. (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED, can be obtained on the job with Training Teacher)
5. GED or High School Diploma (REQUIRED)
6. CDA, AA, or BS Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)
7. At Least 18 Years of Age On or Before Start Date of Employment OR enrolled in a Vocational School's Early Learning Program if Under the Age of 18. (REQUIRED)
8. Must have Reliable Transportation (REQUIRED)
* Current CPR and/or Lifeguard Certification a PLUS!
Teaching Responsibilities:
*On the job training available
1. Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for assigned class or group (aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards).
2. Plan and implement daily program activities.
3. Delegate specifically assigned duties such as snack time, clean-up, lunch, diapering/potty training.
4. Monitor group activities such as washing hands, dressing for outdoors, free play, circle time and/or arts and crafts.
5. Assist in the improvement, support, and comprehension of the continuous quality improvement efforts of early learning programs in Pennsylvania.
Requirements Prior to Employment Start Date:
