🎓💙 AVID on the Move! 💙🐻

Our AVID sophomores recently toured UCA and Hendrix College! 🎉

AVID helps students build the skills and confidence they need for college and career success.

These campus visits gave our Bears a glimpse of college life and inspiration for their futures! 🏫✨

We’re proud of our sophomores for taking steps toward their goals! The future is bright, Bears! 💙🐻

🎨💙 Creativity in Reflection! 💙📸

Our AP Art 2D students have been exploring reflections through photography, capturing creative images that incorporate a person and the use of mirrors. 🪞✨

With a little imagination and a lot of creativity, these talented artists turned everyday reflections into unique works of art!

📸 Check out this amazing work! We love seeing our Bears think outside the box and bring their artistic visions to life. 💙🐻

💙🐻 Learning in Action! 🐻💙

Our Sports Medicine students are putting their knowledge into practice in the Injury Assessment course! 🩺💪

Students are learning and practicing special tests used to assess rotator cuff injuries. Through hands-on practice, they are developing skills in proper hand placement, testing techniques, and evaluating shoulder injuries.

They’re also learning how to interpret patient symptoms and test results to help identify which muscles may be involved and determine whether a specific injury may be present.

We love seeing our Bears build real-world skills and prepare for future careers in sports medicine and healthcare! 🩻👏

Way to go, Bears! Keep learning, practicing, and growing! 💙

Over a dozen students were sworn in on October 7 to participate in Teen Court, a program that gives students meaningful roles in a restorative approach to school discipline.
Students serving in Teen Court take on roles including judges, jurors and advocates. In PCSSD’s peer-jury model, students present cases, question respondents, deliberate and determine appropriate sanctions while an adult judge presides. Sanctions may include community service, writing or reflection assignments, and workshops or classes focused on conflict resolution, decision-making and life skills.

🐻 Bears Making a Difference! 🐻

Mrs. Stewart recently took students from Mu Alpha Theta, Beta Club, and National Honor Society to the Arkansas Food Bank, where they spent the day packing meals for families across Arkansas.

Together, our students packed an incredible 11,900+ meals in just one day! 🙌📦

We are so proud of our students for giving their time, energy, and hearts to serve others. What an amazing example of Bear pride and community service!
