Mrs. Hawkins’ kindergarten class didn’t let the heat stop them from having fun! With heat index values above 96 degrees, inside recess is not a bust! From building to drawing, recess was definitely not cancelled!

Special shout out to our summer word warriors! These students kept track of how much they read over the summer. In first place was Damani Hinton. Second place was Kiley Brown. Third place (not pictured) was Saul Gonzalez. Special shoutout to Laynie Sorensen for not only reading this summer, but dedicating time to Duolingo to learn Spanish!

SHMS Volleyball Coach Abernathy is offering free volleyball training every Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, beginning August 21st for girls in grades 3 - 5 who would like to learn to play volleyball. This volleyball training is at no cost to the families. Join the Bears to learn about volleyball!

Class Dojo kickoff first week has been fun and successful! Mr. Wilder, our new Dean of Students, recognized the students with the top 5 points for our first week of school. Way to go FIERCE Bobcats!

Beginning of school collaborative activities allow students and teachers to build relationships that set a foundation of learning and trust for the school year. Enjoy the moments captured of tower building, carousel getting to know you activities, and relationship building!
