Cato had a great first week of school! Thank you to the Sylvan Hills High School football team for coming out and opening car doors on Friday.

Good evening, parents!

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to work on improving our dismissal process. In order for dismissal to move as quickly and smoothly as possible, we need everyone to follow the dismissal procedures.

Please remember the following:

All parents must enter the parking lot from Bamboo (PreK parents in the afternoon are the only exception)
Stay in your vehicle. When parents get out of their vehicles, the line slows down and we are unable to safely and efficiently get students out of the building. Pre-K parents are the only parents walking to the door to sign in students in the morning.
If you need additional time to buckle your child, please pull forward to the grass before doing so. This will allow us to keep the dismissal line moving for everyone.
Once your child is in the vehicle, you may exit the parking lot.
Students must load on the right-hand side of the vehicle for their safety and yours.

We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and help as we work together to make dismissal as safe and efficient as possible. Thank you for your continued support!

Each week during the school year, we participate in AVID Wednesday. Staff and students wear their favorite college or career shirt to show where their goals can take them. 🎓👕💼

Here are a few reminders to help dismissal go more smoothly tomorrow:

🚗 Please have your car tag visible so the teacher can quickly call your child’s name.

➡️ Students will enter and exit vehicles on the right side only.

🚙 Parents, please remain in your vehicle. Staff will assist students as needed.

🏫 Students are being housed in the cafeteria during dismissal, so it takes a few minutes for them to walk to the front of the school. Please remind your child to get up as soon as they hear their name and walk directly to the front.

📢 Attention Cato Parents and Staff!

For the safety of our students, our arrival and dismissal procedures have changed. Please take a moment to review the new procedures before the first day of school.

For the first day of school only, parents will be allowed to walk their child into the building. Please keep in mind that our parking lot is small, so parking will be limited.

🚗 If you are using the car line, you must follow the new drop-off procedures and enter the parking lot from Bamboo Lane.

Open House was a success! Thank you to First Christian Church for providing Subway and Judy Lambertus for the donuts. Bad to the Bone BBQ and Kona Ice helped welcome parents. I big thank you to them! Now the halls are quiet, but Monday morning we will be here waiting for our students. We can’t wait to see you! We expect big things this year.
