Santa Claus is coming to town!

The Santa parade will be Saturday, November 29 at 7pm downtown Union City.

Santa will be at Southern Michigan Bank after the parade for pictures!

The parade lines up by 6:50 at Robbins Auto - 948 N Broadway St. Show up before then if you’d like to be a part of the parade - bring your float, golf cart, cool vehicle, or whatever you’d like!

The Union City High School Band will also be in the parade!

I want to take a moment to talk about play based learning. I’m sometimes asked what the kids are learning in daycare. While we don’t follow a strict academic curriculum, we are constantly learning!

Because we are a play based daycare, through play, they’re learning how to be kind, how to share, understanding emotions and empathy, how to include others, how to clean up after themselves, and how to be BORED.

Don’t get me wrong, exploring colors, shapes, numbers, and letters is never off the table. It’s just approached as a natural part of our day, we see and recognize these elements in our daily routine, and we talk about them! I don’t believe little ones were made to sit still and focus on academics all day. At this age, they learn best through play and they’re doing exactly that 😊

✨ Confidence growing
🗣️ Social skills blooming

Play isn’t a break from learning, play IS learning. And my heart swells with happiness to see these girls come to play with their friends every day, form amazing bonds, and learn so much without even knowing it! 🥰
