It’s AVID Wednesday! Our halls were filled with college shirts and students dressed for the career they want. At Sherwood Elementary, we believe college and career readiness starts NOW!

Students and staff brightened our halls today in floral prints and vibrant colors for today’s Testing Spirit Week theme, “Bloom Where You’re Planted!”

Students in Mrs. T. Smith’s class engaged in hands-on learning as they developed models of the Earth’s surface to explore how rivers function. Through this activity, students discovered key principles about the movement of water and how rivers shape the land around them.

Today, our students and staff showed up in green as we kicked off our first day of Testing Spirit Week with the theme “Plant the Seeds of Success.”
Every lesson learned, every effort given, and every challenge faced is a seed planted for future growth. We are so proud of the focus, determination, and positive energy seen throughout the building today

Our Pre-K students had an egg-cellent time at our Easter Egg Hunt! 🐣🌸
With baskets in hand and smiles all around, our little learners searched high and low to find colorful eggs filled with surprises. This fun-filled activity brought lots of excitement, laughter, and joy. We love creating special moments and lasting memories for our students!

Testing Spirit Week starts tomorrow!

Mrs. T. Smith’s class graphed with jellybeans making learning both engaging and meaningful! Students explored key math concepts by sorting, counting, and creating graphs using colorful jellybeans. This hands-on activity not only strengthened their understanding of data representation but also encouraged critical thinking and collaboration. Learning is always sweeter when it’s interactive!
