Today marks my 20th Anniversary of owning Little Munchkins. It’s been an incredible 20 years of growth and love for the children our community. I’m watching my first group of children, get married, graduate college and become amazing adults. I hope to care for their kids down the line.

Thank you to all my families, past and present, for being a part of our Little Munchkin Family. Cheers to the new year, may we all be blessed with good fortune, good health and love. 🥂

Full Time Assistant Infant Room
Full Time Toddler Teacher (2 years experience needed)
Part Time Preschool Assistant (11:30 - 6:00 pm) and substitution
Part Time Floating Assistant (11:00 - 3:00, and substitution)

Requirements: Background check with CT BCIS, Physical with in the past year, able to pick up 30 lbs and stand sit and kneel with children, experience in childcare facility, 2 day orientation on the job, background and interest to pursue a career in early childhood education, preferred. A willingness to play and enjoy our children and find the joy of outside despite the weather, a must!

We pride ourselves in providing a warm, caring environment, where children can learn and grow at their own pace, participating in a social setting. Since 1989, our program and activities have embrace the diversity that is within our community, sharing with children, the cultures and histories that are the fabrics of our lives,.

Our mission is to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate, nurturing wnvironmenr that promotes social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth, as well as a positive self image and love of learning.

We believe that play is a child’s work and that learning occurs during developmentally, appropriate, child centered activities. Children learned concept best when they are meaningful and relevant to them. They acquire knowledge through the active exploration of their environment.
