Do you know the most famous reindeer of all? Our PreK class knows. The PreK class here at Pinnacle is preparing for an incredibly special night. Our children prepared reindeer food for all the children to spread on their lawns on Christmas eve. Baking teaches children critical life skills essential for future independence. Measuring ingredients hones mathematical skills, as they learn about fractions and volumes. Following recipes enhances their ability to comprehend and execute instructions, promoting critical thinking. Additionally, cleaning up instills a sense of responsibility, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a tidy workspace.
Thank you to our PreK class for making this special treat for the reindeer.

Morning circle time is important in preschool because it fosters a sense of community and belonging, sets a positive tone for the day, and develops crucial social, emotional, and cognitive skills. It helps children improve communication, learn to follow rules and routines, develop early literacy skills, and prepare for future academic settings.

Children learn a variety of skills from pumpkin carving, including fine and gross motor skills, planning and creativity, scientific thinking, and sensory exploration. It also provides opportunities for developing life skills like safety awareness and communication. Scraping the inside of the pumpkin and separating seeds helps develop the muscles needed for tasks like writing. Feeling the hard exterior and the "slimy insides" builds tactile skills.
