💧 The Power of Water 💧

Our PreK/K/1 Summer Crew kicked off our Power of Water unit this week!

We learned that plants and animals need water to live, discovered that much of Earth is covered by water, and explored how water moves. We also introduced the vocabulary words solid, liquid, and gas.

In science, we observed three containers of ice: a control, one covered in salt, and one placed in warm water. The children discovered that the ice in the warm water melted the fastest!

Funnels, pipes, and pumps…oh my! Through play, we experimented with moving water and explored how it flows. 🌊💧

This week our students continued to study life cycles and learned about frogs 🐸🐸 and tadpoles. Next week will be all about Earth Day and ways we can take care of our planet. We are now enrolling for the 2026-2027 school year!

This has been such a fun week! We started incubating our chicks and observed caterpillars and ants. Next week we'll continue watching and learning about life cycles and will be adding tadpoles and frogs to the classrooms!

Miss Nancy's Toddlers got to explore the water table and enjoyed snack time after recess. They loved playing in the water!
