The 40th Annual Golf Scholarship Tournament was a hit! With support from the ND community, over $300,000 was raised to support endowed scholarships. This wouldn't be possible without our amazing supporters like our lead sponsors Paula and Pat Donahue '73. Opportunities like these help to make Notre Dame accessible to everyone, we are so thankful for everyone who helped make this event a success. ⛳️

Our annual AANHPI Pop-Up hosted by the DEI Office and the AANHPI Parent Group was a success! Thank you to all the families who provided delicious food to share with our community. Students and Holy Cross Educators were able to try samples of different food representing a variety of cultures. Shout out to our student groups who also had activities!

Miss Benion’s Spanish 1 students recreated a medieval Spain-like scenario with food, art, costumes, and student academic projects. Dr. Fanara joined them to present her medieval poetry program. One group sang a Spanish version of Cantiga 302 by Castilian King Alfonso the Wise (originally in Portuguese): “A Madre de Jesú-Cristo, que é Sennor de nobrezas.” The other two classes sang “Si bastasen un par de canciones” by Italian songwriter and singer Eros Ramazzotti, “If a Couple of Songs Were Enough,” a message of hope meant to comfort those who are struggling through music. 🎶

Last Friday, we gathered in celebration of Mary and the season of new life at our May Crowning Mass, a beautiful tradition honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary and expressing our devotion as a Holy Cross community.

Sponsored by the AANHPI community, this liturgy also invited us into deeper spiritual connection and reflection during AANHPI and Jewish Heritage Month. We are truly grateful to all who contributed to making this such a meaningful and uplifting experience.

Finally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our senior Campus Ministry members. Your steadfast dedication to your faith and to this community has been truly inspiring. 💐🌸

Last week, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office in collaboration with the AANHPI, Parents of Black Knights, and Unidos parent groups each hosted senior sendoffs for our AANHPI, Black/African American, and Hispanic/Latino communities! Our chaplain, Fr. Joe, was able to give each celebration a special blessing as our seniors move on to share their talents with the world. We are so fortunate to have wonderful students, Holy Cross Educators, and families to spend this cherished time together. 🎉

Today the Armenian Student Association hosted an Armenian Genocide Prayer and Memorial Service. Tomorrow April 24 marks the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The service was a time of reflection and remembrance, honoring the 1.5 million Armenians who were murdered. We honor those who died for their faith, like St. Ignatius Maloyan, and the descendants of those who fought for religious and societal freedom. We vow to never forget.
