Grant County Beta Epsilon met Tuesday, October 21. They packed 10 boxes for Operation Christmas Child and 300 bags of candy for the Sheridan Fall Carnival. In between projects we had a hotdog roast.

We had a great time playing Bingo tonight at Cotijas. We would like to thank Cotijas for giving us a teacher discount!

Arkansas State Organization Officer Nomination Information:
• Any DKG member with good standing and 8 years in the
organization can run for any state office.
• Our state officers do not automatically move up.
• State officers have a two-year commitment.
• Becoming an officer helps one develop deeper relationships with other officers and members.
• Any member may submit a name with the prior approval of the person being nominated.
• Requirements will be on the nomination form.
• Please consider nominating a worthy member for one of these offices.

The Grant County Beta Epsilon chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma society is dedicated to empowering young women who are pursuing a career in education. Each year our chapter awards a scholarship to a deserving young lady based on grade point average, community service and educational service. The recipient of the 2024 DKG scholarship is a young lady who has shown exemplary service to our community and school. She has served as vice president of membership for Future Career and Community Leaders of America and secretary for Educators Rising. She was a member of National Beta Club, Students for Christ, and the Sheridan Yellowjackets cheerleading squad . She has won National Cheerleading Association awards for stunts and showmanship as well as other awards. She is a food production and management completer and was a member of the 2023 Sheridan High School homecoming court. She plans to major in elementary education at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia where she will be on the cheer squad. The 2024 recipient of the $500 recurring Delta Kappa Gamma scholarship for a total of $2000 is Madelyn Vaughan.
