All high school seniors in Sheridan County are eligible to receive a $1000 educational scholarship for colleges or trade schools from a generous donor through the Sheridan County YMCA.

We believe that having a strong spiritual foundation is crucial to young adults’ abilities to combat anxiety and demonstrate resilience during the challenges of early adulthood. This scholarship is intended to incentivize attending church or church youth programs with the hope that it will result in habit-forming participation in a faith-based community that will be sustained into adulthood.

Eligibility Criteria:
Be a 2024 graduating senior from a Sheridan County High School

Application Process:
Pick up a participation log at the Sheridan County YMCA’s front desk.
Attend 10 services or youth group programs at at least two different churches (one service maximum per week with the exception of Christmas and Easter) from November 2023 to October 2024.
Complete and turn your log in to the Sheridan County YMCA's front desk.
Possibly be willing to share how the experience has impacted you

Not Required:
Essay, test score, or GPA requirements

For further information, contact Hanna Riley [email protected] at the Sheridan County YMCA.
