Good evening!

The countdown to our only school fundraiser for the year; Blackhawk Walk is upon us. We need all the volunteers we can get to make this event successful. This event is crucial to support our student events and teachers throughout the school year!

Please remember you must have a current background check with the elementary school to volunteer.

Our first PTO meeting of the year is officially in the books!

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared ideas, asked questions, ate a cookie 😉 and helped us kick off another year of supporting Sheridan Elementary.

And if you couldn’t make it? No worries. There are LOTS of ways to be part of PTO throughout the year - some take an hour, some take five minutes, and some can be done without ever attending a meeting.

We’ve got some pretty exciting things brewing this year, and we can’t wait to share them with you!

Our first PTO meeting of the school year is TONIGHT at 6:30 PM in the Sheridan Elementary Library, and we’d love to see some new faces around the table!
And while we have you… SHERIDAN, YOU DID IT! 🪨🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who shared our posts, tagged businesses, sent us leads, made connections, and helped us on our mission to secure The Blackhawk Rock! We are officially in the final stages! 🥳
Now we just need Mother Nature to cooperate and let things dry out enough to move forward.

We cannot wait to bring this new tradition to Sheridan Elementary and share all the details with you soon!

🚨 ATTENTION, SHERIDAN! 🚨

It’s that time again… our FIRST PTO Meeting of the school year is almost here!

📅 Tuesday, August 18
🕕 6:30PM
📍 Sheridan Elementary Library

Thinking…
🤔 “Someone else will go.”
🤔 “I don’t really know what PTO does.”
🤔 “I’m too tired.”

We get it. We really do.

But here’s the thing - PTO doesn’t happen because of “someone else.” It happens because parents like you show up, share ideas, ask questions, and help make fun things happen for our kids.

So come hang out for an hour. No pressure, no secret initiation, and we promise we’re a pretty fun group. 😉

Sheridan, we have an idea… and we need a REALLY big rock.

Sheridan Elementary PTO has a fun idea we’d love to bring to our school - a Rent the Rock fundraiser! 🎨♥️

The idea is simple: families could reserve our school spirit rock for birthdays, celebrations, teacher shout-outs, school spirit, special announcements, and more. They rent it, paint it, enjoy it for the day, and the proceeds go right back to supporting our students and school!

But first…

We need the rock. 😂🪨

And not just any rock - we’re looking for a BIG, paintable landscaping/boulder-style rock similar to the examples pictured.

We’ve been looking for a while now with no luck, so, we wanted to ask our amazing Sheridan community:

👉 Does anyone have a connection to a landscaping, excavation, quarry, construction, farming, or trucking company that may be willing to donate a large rock and/or help us transport and place it at Sheridan Elementary?

Maybe you know a guy who knows a guy. Maybe you are the guy. 😂

The new school year is here, and Mrs. Waters’ Care Closet is ready to continue supporting Sheridan students and families throughout the year.
