I am honored to receive this scholarship! As a non-traditional student and a mother of two young children, this scholarship means more than words can express. As you can understand, balancing school and parenting can be quite the challenge. This is a huge relief financially and will help encourage me to keep working towards my goals. Your generosity is helping me continue my education and influencing me to go on to the next level to set an example for my children about perseverance and determination. I would like to thank the scholarship committee for awarding me this scholarship. I am currently working towards an applied associate’s degree in Business. After I have earned my associate’s degree I plan to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Leadership at Sheridan College. Presently I am employed for the City of Sheridan.
