It is important that you clean your instrument from time to time even if you have a keyboard. I waxed mine today I clean my keys every day after each student. Since I have many books placed upon the piano, it takes the finish off, so I designed a cover to protect the finish. I had a wonderful student whose grandmother made the covers for me. I even had my leather seat designed for a removable cover because of all the students that sit on it daily six days a week. You must have your piano tuned for it to work proficiently once a year. I have mine tuned three times a year. If you have a keyboard, you don’t have that extra expense. Never drink or eat around a keyboard.
