I wasn't sure if I was going to share this here because it's personal, but I share so much of myself through Wind Gap that it also felt strange not to.

My 92-year-old Grandpa, Norman, passed away last night.

As my dad said, he was the smartest guy he ever knew because he always thought there was more to learn.

My Grandpa played a huge part in raising me and I am certain he was my biggest fan. The never-ending support and everything that man gave to me is just... everything.
There are probably a million things I could say about him and none of them feel like enough today.

So instead, I'll leave this here. One of our favorites, that we said together more times than I could ever count.

Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
And whether pigs have wings.”

Teacher Tuesday, but make it furry. 🐾🎶

Our FAVORITE customer stopped in with this absolute cutie patootie, and obviously I had to get a picture. LOOK AT THAT FACE.
This favorite customer is a teacher at Morgan Academy, where they head back to school tomorrow — joining so many of our local teachers and students who have headed back over the last couple of weeks.

So today, Teacher Tuesday goes out to all of our teachers. 🍎❤️
May your coffee be strong, your patience be stronger, and the universe all around behave itself for you.
Sending all the sanity and good vibes to the superheroes of the world as another school year gets underway.

And, for the record, furry visitors to Wind Gap Music are always welcome. 🐶🎶

Another little Wind Gap Music thing! 🎶
We now have instrument ID tags — but these aren't the flimsy little tags we're all used to.
These are rigid, sturdy, and actually feel like they're going to stay on your instrument case. 😆
Just $2.99 each, and you can fill them out with your contact info in case your instrument ever decides to wander off without you.
Small thing. Very useful thing. And yes, of course, they have our logo on them. 😉

So… hi. 👋 We’re alive. 😂

It’s been more than a few days since Tomato Jam, and apparently I got so busy (which is a good thing) that I forgot to actually do the socials. So here I am!

We had SO much fun at Sistermoon Farm . So thankful to be part of what is obviously the best annual event around here, and especially loved having The Glass Eyes play a set on the Pond Stage, and getting to spend the whole day with our instrument petting zoo.
Watching people, engaging with people, especially the kids who get curious about making music is pretty much my favorite thing. ❤️🎶

August 4, 7, 11, and 15, walk-in instrument checkups with Anderson Repair Tech, no appointment needed. Can't make those dates? Drop it off during retail hours and we'll get it to him.

🍅 TOMORROW IS THE TOMATO JAM! 🍅

Seriously, this is my favorite event of the year around here, and Wind Gap Music will be hanging out by the Pond Stage all day!

🎶 Bring yourself over to our Instrument Petting Zoo, because we’ve decided instruments need to be pet. 😂

🛍️ We’ll have merch and all the Wind Gap vibes

🎸 The Glass Eyes take the stage at 6pm

And if you're not headed to the farm until later, the shop is open 10am–4pm tomorrow, with Anderson Repair Tech IN STORE for the last day of band instrument tune-ups before back-to-school.
