Shepherd University CSDA Shepherd University, a liberal arts institution located one hour from Washington, D.C., in historic Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

The Shepherd University Master of Arts in College Student Development and Administration provides a combination of
coursework and practical experiences that prepares students
for careers in student affairs and other student services at both
two- and four-year institutions. The faculty and students are
committed to creating a strong intellectual community that
consistently ties theory to practice within the classroom and
through real world experiences.

Graduate student receives national conference scholarship

Paola C. Torres, graduate student in the College Student Development and Administration program and graduate assistant in the Advising Assistance Center, was selected as a winner of the National Academic Advising Association’s Graduate Student Annual Conference Scholarship. As a winner, she will receive complimentary registration for the national conference in Orlando in October. Paola was selected after expressing interest in pursuing a career in academic advising and receiving strong support from Shepherd mentors. Paola is sure to bring back ideas for initiatives that promote quality academic and career advising, recruitment, and retention.
