Choir is so much more than singing. ❤️

For kids, choir is a place to build confidence, make friendships, learn to work as a team, and discover the joy of being part of something bigger than themselves.

It teaches them to listen to one another, support each other, step outside their comfort zones, and use their voices—literally and figuratively.

Every rehearsal, every concert, every note is helping shape kids who are more confident, connected, and compassionate.

Choir matters because every child deserves a place where their voice is heard. 🎶💙

We are so proud of the work that our Shepherd Youth Chorus is doing, and can't wait to see all of their hard work come together for their concert in December! Big shout out to the awesome and amazing Dr. Austin Showen for his work in guiding these young musicians.

Watching our Preschool music participants yesterday was a great reminder that we all start with the basics, and that making music should be fun! While you are practicing today, take a page from some of our youngest music makers at Community Music, and play or sing something that makes your heart happy!

If you'd love to have your child join our Early Childhood Class series, email [email protected] to learn more about our classes and availability!

🎶 Making Music Together with Sinfonia! 🎻

There’s something special about bringing musicians together to learn, listen, and create beautiful music as one ensemble. Our Sinfonia group has been working hard, growing as musicians, and, most importantly, enjoying the experience of making music together!

From rehearsals to performances, every note represents teamwork, dedication, and a shared love of music. ❤️🎵

We’re so proud of everything this group is accomplishing. 🎼✨

The Shepherd Community Big Band is off and running this semester with some of the coolest cats around the tri-state! 🎶

They bring such incredible energy to the building on Monday nights, and I hope you’ll join me on December 13th to experience the culmination of all their hard work this semester. It’s sure to be a fantastic afternoon of music! 🎷🎺
