Congratulations to Michael Carlson on his commitment to continue his academic and baseball career at Grays Harbor College. His hard work, dedication, and commitment to the game have paid off, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s next.

We’re proud to have watched him grow on and off the field and can’t wait to see him represent the Chokers at the next level.

As you reflect on this school year, I hope you feel proud of all that we have accomplished together. We are ranked #1 in Washington state for growth in early literacy, student attendance is up district-wide, and our community passed our levy with overwhelming support, demonstrating its strong belief in our schools and the work you do every day. There is so much to celebrate from this past year, and even more to look forward to as we prepare for the year ahead.

As you head into a well-deserved summer break, we hope you take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy meaningful moments with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming you back and continuing this journey together as we begin the 2026–27 school year in September!

SHS Custodial wants to shout out these amazing students for all their hard work this year!
Without even asking, these students took it upon themselves to clean up the lunch room. After 2-3 students started doing it every day, others were influenced to follow suit!
They even got a pizza party to celebrate their hard work! We greatly appreciate their contributions! 🥰

Not every journey looks the same. Some people walk across a stage in a cap and gown. Others take a different path and reach their goals later in life.

I never graduated from from high school myself, but I eventually went on to earn two bachelor's degrees. Life doesn't always follow the timeline we expect.

Whether you're receiving a diploma, earning a degree, learning a trade, serving your community, raising a family, or simply taking the next step forward, your accomplishments matter.
