Squaxin Island Child Development Center

Well yesterday Coyotes Room explored Geoducks! We talked bout the texture of the Geoducks and what color they are. We also talked about where they live and how you can get them. Also the children smelt them to see what they smell like. So I would like to say Thanks to Ashly Sigo and Andrew Sigo for donating the Geoducks to let our children explore them!!! Today SICDC is celebrating Mom’s or another special woman in your life at morning drop off.

This week, we had the honor of celebrating the incredible teachers and staff at SICDC during Teacher Appreciation Week! 💛🍎

We are beyond grateful for the love and support shown by our community in helping make this week so special for our team. A HUGE shout out to Andrew and Ashly Sigo for their generous donation of chips, Red Bull, flavored syrups, Bloom sodas, and many other cases of soda to help create fun treats for our staff throughout the week. We also want to thank them for the beautiful handmade cards made for each of our staff members, such a thoughtful and personal touch that meant so much to everyone. 💕

Thank you as well to Shaelynn Clark for donating cups, lids, and straws to help make our drink bars possible! 🥤

Because of these generous donations, we were able to spoil our teachers each day with a special treat:
🍩 Monday – Donuts, muffins & fresh fruit
🥯 Tuesday – Bagel bar
🥪 Wednesday – Sandwich bar
🥤 Thursday – Dirty soda bar
⚡ Friday – Red Bull spritzer bar

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the families who took time this week to appreciate our teachers in their own special way — whether it was through thoughtful gifts, kind words, cards, messages, or simply expressing gratitude. Those gestures truly mean so much and help our staff feel seen, valued, and appreciated for the love and care they pour into the children every day. 💛

Our teachers work tirelessly to support, nurture, and educate the children and families in our community, and we are so thankful for each and every one of them. Thank you all for helping us celebrate such an amazing team this week!
