December is flying by at Imagination Island!

This week, we spent lots of time making gifts for our families, making cardboard holiday houses, yarn-wrapped bottle vases, shell necklaces, and more. And we had a few grilled cheeses too! And a big thank you to Ms. Melissa for joining us for some crochet!

Although we only have one more week until winter break, there is availability for your child(ren) to join us after school for this last week and once we return in January! Whether they are a student at the Shelter Island School or an off-island school, we would love to have them! Please email us at [email protected] to register your child (ren)!

For the first week of December, we began our Holiday Workshop and transformed Imagination Island into a “Winter Wonderland!”

Our kiddos had the option to make a variety of our previous, go-to crafts as gifts for their loved ones. They also had the option to make their own beautiful holiday houses out of cardboard. And for a special treat, some of them made their own grilled cheese!

We are so thankful for another week of craft and play!

This week, we had a variety of options and crafts to choose from, including yarn bottle vases, orange pomanders, and string nail art. We also enjoyed a crab-tastic food craft made from croissants, bananas, blueberries, and strawberries.

We look forward to seeing everyone on December 4, following our two-week closure!

We are grateful for another week with some of Shelter Island’s best kiddos!

This week, we made an extra special field trip to visit the one and only, and her shed! Not only did we get to buy some treats, but we also got to hear more about her experiences being a business owner! A huge thank you again to Ms. Emily for welcoming us into the shed!

As usual, we also spent a ton of time playing outside and crafting! We look forward to seeing everyone again next Thursday and Friday!

We hope everyone had a very “WICKED” Halloween this year, despite the wind that we thought might pick us up and take us from Shelter Island to Oz! 💗🫧💚🌪

We had a blast making our trunk this year! A big shoutout to and for the plant pots that we used to create our recycled, glittery Emerald City!

This week at Imagination Island has been one of our favorites yet! We had a ton of fun making branch puppets, magic wands, and spooky snacks. We also may have played with some of Shelter Island’s worms and other insects while we enjoyed the October weather!

It was another fun, fabulous week at Imagination Island! During our after-school time on Thursday and Friday this past week, we had a blast decoupaging dried flowers onto pumpkins and playing outside in the beautiful autumn weather.

A big thank you to our high school volunteers, Sadie and Mae, for donating their time to us this past week while Amy was out of town!

We spent another week being so happy to be together at Imagination Island!

On Thursday, we sheltered from the rain by making homemade popcorn and recycled snake plants! And then on Friday, we enjoyed the beautiful, warm, sunny weather outdoors!
