… Nissequogue River State Park is located on the north shore of Long Island. A variety of habitats including tidal and fresh water wetlands and hardwood forests provide habitat to a variety of shore birds, reptiles and amphibians. A section of the park has been designated a State Bird Conservation Area. The Greenbelt Trail, for walking and hiking, parallels the Nissequogue River and provides scenic views of the river and the Long Island Sound from the top of the bluffs.

The “Home Sweet Home” museum is the most distinguished salt-box home in East Hampton. The house dates from the first quarter of the eighteenth century, with paneling installed in the parlor at mid-century. For all its simplicity, the old house seems to realize the dignity of its association with romance and its place in the hearts of people everywhere. It is situated on the village green in the center of colonial East Hampton. The house has come to embody the spirit of all that is tender and sweet about home.
