♦ Share in the comments which code-smells serve you as an indicator of bad code!

Some common code smells:

πŸ’© God object - a class that has grown too large and does too many things.

πŸ’© Feature envy - a class that uses methods of another class excessively.

πŸ’© Too many parameters - a long list of parameters is hard to read, and makes calling and testing the function complicated.

πŸ’© Long method - a method, function, or procedure that has grown too large.

πŸ’© Duplicated code - identical or very similar code exists in more than one location.

πŸ’© Mysterious name - functions, modules, variables or classes are named so that don't communicate what they do or how to use them.

πŸ’© Data clump - occurs when a group of variables are passed around together in various parts of the program.

πŸ’© Inapproriate intimacy - a class that has dependencies on implementation details of another class.

Senior developers are smart folks! πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» They not only know how to write and debug code, they can also communicate well with their peers and business representatives, they can write good documentation and efficient e-mails, they know how to quickly search for required information and how to do research, they also know well how to mentor junior developers. But also they know when there are different solutions to the problem and code is not one of them.
